We’re not quite sure how we’ve fast forward from 2008 to 2018, but we celebrated our 10 Year Anniversary at the incredible Old Thorns Manor Hotel, Golf & Country Estate – on Sunday 8th July.
Our largest Wedding Venue, meaning our largest Wedding Fayre – we had over 80 types of wedding businesses showcasing throughout this vast and opulent hotel, providing wedding-planning-couples with plenty of ideas and inspiration for their special day.
The spectacular Fashion Show was as always, produced and choreographed by the ‘professionals’; Manic Stage Productions – Having worked with ‘Manic’ for many years, we know they work their ‘Magic‘ and create a beautiful show for us, and they delivered as usual. To top it off we also had a wedding ring deliver flight by the beautiful Barn Owl – Willow – from CSR Falconry; if ever you were looking to WOW your guests, seeing one of their beautiful barn owls gliding down the aisle has to be it.
A bustling busy day with lots of lovely couples visiting, welcome drinks, deluxe gift bags and more – we were blown away to be called up on the stage after the fashion show and presented with a poem (written by one of our long term Exhibitors) and many beautiful gifts; this wasn’t just to commemorate our 10 years in producing professional wedding fayres, but to show their own appreciation for what we do (all what goes on behind the scenes) By attending our fayres over the years, they have gained much business and been able to meet with couples first hand, helping them with their plans and requirements.
We couldn’t have been more touched by this generous show of appreciation and indeed affection – and we’re still getting over it now!
It ended the Season on a high for us, as we now take a break through the busy Summer Holidays and return for our Late Summer & Autumn Fayres in September; with the current heatwave we hope this has given lots of couples their dream day, with very little forecast of rain, I’m sure nobody was expecting the opposite extreme of some of the hottest days on record!

…and although we’ve just had a ‘usual’ soggy Easter Bank Holiday, the S-N-O-W that swept across the country just a few weeks ago, now seems a distant memory.
It caused plenty of disruption and for us, it was the first time in 10 years that we’ve had to actually cancel (postpone) a Wedding Fayre on the actual day; With more than 200 fayres produced in these ten years and our temperamental British Weather, you could say we’ve been pretty lucky all this time – but just as much effort and work goes into cancelling an event as it does to make it happen in the first place. But that’s what we do and what we have to be prepared for, and most importantly we took the decision to cancel for the safety of everyone concerned.
Surrey Snow – Conditions were far worse than forecast or anticipated and the particular venue in question – Lythe Hill Hotel & Spa in Haslemere, Surrey – was located on a steep incline which nobody could tackle, so guests at the hotel were also stuck where they were, and nobody could access driveway until much later that afternoon, when typically the snow and ice had melted enough to allow a brave handful to try.
However, it wasn’t a complete wash-out so to speak; couples who had not necessarily seen the late cancellation on our Website or Social Media Pages and were interested in the venue potentially for their wedding, popped along later in the afternoon and were able to browse the facilities and discuss their wedding requirements with the expert events team. We had also left ample supplies of our Deluxe Tote Bridal Bags (worth over £10 each!) packed with new wedding magazines and information for wedding-planning-couples, and the venue confirmed that several couples booked their wedding with them on the day!
We are in the process of rescheduling the March 2018 fayre and as soon as both we and the venue have availability we’ll publish the details here on our website and across our Social Media Pages, so watch this space – we’ve ordered sunshine for the next Lythe Hill Hotel & Spa Wedding Fayre, to showcase this fantastic Surrey Wedding Venue.

Following our previous news that we were Finalists in The Wedding Awards 2018 – We have just returned from the Awards Ceremony, held at The Epstein Theatre in Liverpool this weekend, with not ONE but TWO Awards!!!
Not only did we Win a Regional Award for ‘Best Wedding Fayre Organisers in the UK 2018‘, but we also won the National Award, up against 8 other businesses in our category!
We can’t Thank everyone who took the time to vote for us enough, we really were blown away to receive both the recognition and the actual Awards. Approaching our 10th Anniversary this July, it couldn’t have come at a more fitting time as we reflect on producing more than 200 wedding fayres to date…and hopefully many more to come!

In late November 2017 we were notified that we had been Nominated for Best Wedding Fayre Organisers, in The Wedding Awards 2018 (TWA2018)
Not only were we super-surprised as we’d no idea someone had even entered us, but there are several Wedding Industry Awards throughout each year, yet none have ever recognized ‘Wedding Fayre/Event Organisers’ among all of the categories that regular receive recognition, such as; Venues, Florists, Photographers, Cakes and so forth…
After discovering that it was one of our lovely, longstanding and loyal wedding suppliers who put us forward for the award, we had to then let everyone know (as it’s all well and good being nominated, but if nobody knows to vote for you!…) and we received confirmation in the last few days that we have made it through as Finalists!
Voting is due to close next week, but we are delighted to have come this far, especially as its a National Award and not just local to our area or region. To be recognised for the events we produced is in itself an award, as we bring together hundreds of wedding business, wedding venues and wedding-planning-couples each year – resulting in those business receiving bookings as well as the wedding venues, and the lovely couples getting their key suppliers to be a part of their special day.
The Award Ceremony takes place in Liverpool on Thursday 8th March and fortunately we are able to go along in person (one weekend where we don’t actually have a Wedding Fayre to organise, and our first weekend off since the New Year!) so it couldn’t have worked out better. Regardless of if we win or not, we would like to thank those of you who have taken the time to Vote for us and let you know how much we appreciate your support.
Whatever happens, we’ll update you in March, but in the meantime, it’s Wedding Season – so lets get back to work!

In the blink of an eye we seem to have fast-forward to 2018!Happy New Year to all of our Venues, our Exhibitors and of course all of the lovely couples who are planning their Special Day…
This time of year tends to see and influx of Festive & New Year Engagements & Proposals, as well as all the couples who are already in the midst of their preparations – for either this year’s weddings, 2019, or beyond, embarking upon getting everything booked and planned in advance.
Whenever or wherever you’re getting married, we’ll have ideas & inspiration galore at our Wedding Fayres, across Hampshire, Surrey & Sussex throughout 2018; it’s a great opportunity to explore many fantastic wedding venues and see what facilities and packages they offer, if you’re looking for the perfect place to wow your guests, plus meet the many businesses and services that are likely to play a big part in your day too. From Florists, Cake Makers, Venue Decor Specialists and more, you can meet many and gather ideas until you find just what you’re looking for.
And if you’ve already found the prefect venue to say “I do” and celebrate with your nearest and dearest, then you can piece together all of the other important elements and coordinate everything, by browsing all of the types of things you might need.
We produce Wedding Fayres for and with venues who want us to showcase their hotel and it’s facilities for Weddings; from unique and iconic, luxurious, smaller more intimate, etc – you’ll see and hear all about our wedding fayres everywhere, including across Capital FM, so listen out for each upcoming one! Generally our events have anything from 40 wedding businesses displaying on the day, up to almost 100 at our largest. You can check out the details for each here on our website or follow our social media pages for up to date information, especially as venues often want us to tell you about any last minute or Exclusive Wedding Offers they may have.
We like you to come (and go…and come back again!) happy and excited with your planning, so we offer you as much as we can in the way of information and details. Working with many leading Wedding Magazine Publications we fill our Bridal Bags with up to £12 worth of glossy new editions, plus many other goodies inside. Several magazines retail at anything from £3.45 up to £4.99 each and our **Deluxe Tote Bridal Bags are limited to the first 100 Brides-to-Be, as they’re always in such high demand, so don’t miss out as we have to offer them first come first served. However, don’t be disappointed as we have hundreds of our regular gift bags too which are still bursting with information and magazines.

On another note: In all the excitement, there’s often understandable confusion regarding what to expect when you attend ‘Wedding Fayres/Fairs’ (the spelling is relevant!) ‘Wedding Open Days or Evenings’, ‘Wedding Showcases’ etc; both Open Days or Showcases tend to be when a hotel or venue themselves, put on their own wedding ‘set up’ or display, showing you exactly how the venue can look, set beautifully and decorated, with a handful of their ‘recommended’ suppliers on hand to chat to also. You can explore the venue and speak to their Wedding and Events Coordinators and get a good idea if it might be just what you’re looking for…
A professionally organised Wedding Fayre on the other hand is where the venue have often invited an external organiser (such as us) to produce an event with lots of wedding businesses for you to see, whilst still being able to meet and talk to their wedding and events team (and often still see parts of the venue set-up for a wedding) giving you the opportunity to do some wedding planning whilst also being within the venue. There may be a fashion show, complimentary welcome drinks, gift bags, competitions, samples and more, and if you’ve left your details with the venue as a potential contender on your list of hotels, they will most likely also invite you back to attend their own opening evening or showcase perhaps later in the year, so that you can see the venue again minus all the hustle and bustle of the actual wedding fayre – so they’re all great opportunities no matter what, and not forgetting you can always contact a venue and arrange an appointment to pop along to see them at any time – but as we’re often asked by couples, we thought we’d help clarify the differences a little!

No sooner has our so-called Summer seem to have been and gone and it’s the onset of the Autumn Wedding Planning Season.
It can be a great time of year for couples who’ve yet to book all elements of the special day, to grab some great offers and discounts; many wedding venues will be looking ahead at the amount of bookings they have for next year (& the year after potentially) and if they’re down on numbers for any reason, they often offer incentives for couples to get their date booked with them – whether it’s holding the current year’s prices or throwing in some added extras, you could get yourself a really good deal before the year’s out.
Much the same goes for all wedding suppliers – the businesses & services who may be a part of your day, are winding down a little following a busy peak wedding period over the summer, but they still need to plan many months ahead and see just how many weddings are on their books. So with (dare we say it…) Halloween around the corner and Christmas soon after, everyone’s pennies have to go back in the savings pot for a while whilst the festive season takes over. Many of these suppliers will also offer incentives to book with them, so if its chair-covers thrown in for free…some extra jars of sweets on the sweetcart, or buttonholes & bouquets thrown in for free, it’s a great time to save some extra £££’s for your wedding ( to spend on the Honeymoon!)

Hundreds of couples came along, both newly engaged over the Christmas & New Year period or already in full-swing with their wedding preparations, on what was our first ‘foggy’ Wedding Fayre at the tower since 2014. Mind you, that didn’t hamper the day as visitors spent time looking at the wonderful array of Wedding Suppliers showcasing their businesses & services on all levels of the tower. This unique Wedding Venue also appealed to several couples who opted to book it for their Special Day, after seeing the facilities first hand and chatting to the expert Wedding & Events Team. A great day was had by all….
With the popular New Year Wedding Planning Season here, PMN Wedding Fayres are hosting fayres throughout the season at many top local venues ~ with record numbers also coming along to the vast Solent Hotel & Spa, Whiteley, Fareham on the following Sunday 15th January. An established wedding venue, there were over 50 suppliers throughout the entire hotel and although the weather was typically a dreary January Sunday, everyone was cosy inside by the log fire and browsing so many suppliers stands and displays.

This gives us even more exposure and reaffirms to our many Exhibitors, our investment in advertising and to the venues that we work with – that we set ourselves apart from all other wedding events and organisers.
