Its hard to believe we’re already half way through the year and this Sunday 23rd June marks the end of our current season of Wedding Fayres – before we return in September for the Autumn Season! Not wanting to wish the Summer away of course (especially as we haven’t had much of one as yet!…) but it’s the busiest time for venues/hotels & wedding suppliers as they reach their peak with many summer weddings – so for this reason and more, we have always ended our Summer Wedding Fayres on or around the end of June or by mid July – when the school holidays also commence. Its a shame in many ways though as it’s a lovely time of year and often venues look wonderful in the summer months, but suppliers (such as florists, photographers and so forth) have continual weddings throughout weekdays and weekends, so trying to exhibit at our wedding fayres on a Sunday too would be all too much!
During this ‘down time’ for us, we also have to opportunity to prepare and work on the production of all of our upcoming Sept-Nov 2019 fayres, plus we get to have our weekends back to ourselves for a while too – something that takes a bit of getting used to as we usually work most Saturdays & Sunday’s.
Behind the scene’s preparations during July & August involves meeting with the many venues where our fayres take place, so we’re also out of the office quite a lot, travelling around Hampshire, Surrey & Sussex to them all. Its essential to meet with the relevant team member and actually see if anything has changed at the venues, that might effect the fayre or cause us to have to make changes to the rooms/suites we use or layout etc.
Its been wonderful to see so many couples attending our fayres again this year, viewing the facilities at the venues, planning their perfect day and meeting so many types of suppliers who will be an important part of it too – from Photographers to Wedding-Ring-Delivery Barn Owls, we have a diverse range of suppliers exhibit with us from all categories, giving couples ample choice, lots of ideas & plenty of inspiration…We look forward to seeing many more in the coming months.
