As the largest, professional Wedding Fair Organisers covering the South of England, Empirical Events Wedding Shows & PMN Wedding Fayres have collaborated to discuss and establish the best approach for operating an outstanding seasons of COVID-Secure events this Autumn, that ensures the well-being of our teams, our exhibitors, our venues and of course our happy couples…
Whilst the documentation & guidance released from the Government on 5th July confirms that ‘Business to Consumer Events’ can go ahead with immediate effect, it further adds that larger scale business exhibitions in places such as NEC, Olympia, must wait until 1st October 2020. The wedding fayres that PMN and Empirical deliver fall in to the ‘Consumer Event category’ and generally take place in Hotels, Stately Homes, Castles, Barns and tourist attractions rather than conference & exhibition venues. As professional Event Organisers we totally understand the difference, but also appreciate that this information can appear conflicting.
Therefore, we have taken professional advice from Government and legal representatives and after careful consideration, in particular to the type of extended verbal & engaging interactions our couples have with exhibitors, we have decided to wait until 1st October 2020 to commence our Autumn Wedding Fayre Season – Our decisions are based on sound knowledge rather than individual interpretations of the rules (taking into account numerous factors that we must consider to create our events).
Both PMN Wedding Fayres and Empirical Events have spent the time post lock-down visiting the venues we work with, carrying out thorough COVID secure Risk Assessments and developing new plans that work and can be enjoyed as they should be, whilst the environments we create will continue to bring the very best in quality and service. Considering the recent unsettled times within the Wedding Industry, it is important our couples visit & enjoy the fun and emotional wedding planning experience with safety and confidence knowing that PMN and Empirical will guarantee the very best industry practices.
