PMN take a ‘break’ (we’re still actually busy working and planning the late summer/autumn fayres though! Although we did also manage a couple of weeks abroad too!) from Mid July through to the end of August – during the main school summer holidays. Not because we have little one’s who are off school , but there are a couple of reasons related to this; Many working Mum’s are also wedding suppliers and exhibitors at our fayre, so the school holidays can be a tough time with not only the children to look after, but with the bulk of weddings actually taking place during July/August. It’s all a bit much to expect them to work, arrange childcare, set-up weddings (albeit it delivering a cake, dressing the venue, and so forth…) and come to a PMN Wedding Fayre each Sunday – not so much of a Summer Holiday!
As a whole, we appreciate, no matter if it’s Mum’s, Dad’s, Aunt’s, Uncle’s – whoever our exhibitors are in the ‘other life’, July & August are the months that we step back from what’s already been a busy first half of the year, and plan the late summer and autumn fayres – Autumn actually officially is noted on the calendar as starting from Monday 22nd September, so prior to that we can still happily say it’s ‘Summer’! and the remaining 10 Wedding Fayres kick start Sunday 31st August at Portsmouth Marriott.
